Tucked away in the heart of Dallas, the Texas Discovery Gardens provided the perfect setting for our latest styled shoot—a celebration of spring romance, blooming beauty, and intentional wedding design. Inspired by the effortless elegance of garden florals and the soft, sun-washed hues of the season, we brought together a vision that’s as refreshing as a walk through a spring meadow.

The Inspiration: Soft Spring Blooms & Garden Romance

The palette was built around the natural beauty of spring: blush, dusty lavender, and delicate peach. These soft tones created a dreamy and ethereal feel that played harmoniously with the lush greenery and colorful blooms already found within the gardens.

From the moment you step into Texas Discovery Gardens, you’re surrounded by nature in full expression—towering trees, winding paths, and vibrant florals at every turn. It’s a venue that doesn’t just set the scene; it becomes part of the story. We leaned into that, letting the location guide the design, rather than competing with it.

For couples with a small bridal party or who want to create a standout moment at their reception, a king’s table is the perfect centerpiece. For this shoot, the head table was the star of the show: a long, richly decorated table overflowing with seasonal florals, trailing greenery, and layered candlelight.

We went super lush with the design, intentionally. By concentrating florals and design elements in one area, the table became a floral statement piece and conversation starter. It’s a smart approach for couples who want high-impact design without stretching their entire décor budget. Rather than spreading florals thin throughout a large space, investing in one or two hero elements (like a head table or ceremony backdrop) creates a sense of luxury and cohesion.

In this case, we took several rental options and switched them out to give a variety of options, including gold table lamps, brass vintage accents, lavender taper candles, or just letting the flowers shine on their own.

Each place setting was carefully styled with soft linen napkins, romantic gold flatware, and hand-lettered place cards. The floral runner—spilling with garden roses, ranunculus, butterfly delphinium, and delicate sweet peas—felt organic and abundant. Tall taper candles in glass hurricanes added height and a gentle glow as the sun dipped lower in the sky.
